Russian Language
Russian is the most geographically widespread language of Eurasia, the most widely spoken of the Slavic languages, and the largest native language in Europe. Russian belongs to the family of Indo-European languages and is one of three living members of the East Slavic languages.
Russian is spoken by around 160 million people as a first language and it is spoken as a foreign language by 114 million. There are a total of 278 million Russian speakers worldwide. It is the official language in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
